Course Overview:
Welcome to the Six String Alliance’s flagship 10-week Beginners Guitar Course — the perfect launchpad for aspiring guitarists and a deep refresh for returning players. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to fill in gaps with a structured, modern method, this course delivers a solid foundation and beyond. With up to 5 guided lessons per week, you’ll progress steadily with the support of synchronized tab videos, full performance breakdowns, and downloadable tabs for every riff, lick, and solo you learn.
Not Just for Beginners
Despite its name, this course goes well beyond simple strumming and chords. Designed to meet players at their level, it introduces intermediate and advanced techniques along the way — so beginners can grow into them, and seasoned players can refine and expand their chops. You’ll be immersed in real-world applications from day one, with an emphasis on playing great-sounding songs that include full intros, solos, and timeless guitar exercises that are as musical as they are effective.
Unlock the Neck with CAGED & Theory That Clicks
At the heart of the course is a thorough breakdown of the CAGED system — a powerful method for navigating the fretboard, building chord fluency, and unlocking your soloing potential. Alongside this, you’ll learn essential music theory concepts (without the fluff), giving you the confidence to understand what you’re playing and why it works. From scales and intervals to chord construction and phrasing, everything is taught with clarity and purpose.
Learn by Doing — And Playing Loud
Each lesson is hands-on and practical, with video walkthroughs that match up perfectly with onscreen tab. You’ll see, hear, and play everything in sync — a method proven to boost retention and confidence. Add to that the full-performance videos where instructors play each piece at tempo and slow it down for clarity, and you’ve got a learning experience that sticks. With no prior guitar experience required, you’ll quickly find yourself playing riffs and solos you never thought possible.
Finish Strong, Rock Ready
By the end of the 10 weeks, you won’t just know how to play — you’ll feel ready to rock out with confidence. You’ll have developed proper technique, musical fluency, and a toolbox of songs and skills that will serve you for years to come. Whether your goal is to jam with friends, write original music, or just enjoy playing better than ever, this course will take you there. Join the Six String Alliance and start your journey to becoming the guitarist you’ve always wanted to be.
